Northern Kentucky Hoops Classic

CINCINNATI, Ohio: Hacks Sports is pleased to announce the inception of the inaugural Northern Kentucky Hoops Classic hosted by Northern Kentucky University at its on-campus gymnasium, Regents Hall.

The Hoops Classic was created to give Northern Kentucky boys’ high school basketball teams the opportunity to compete in a collegiate environment and to showcase Northern Kentucky basketball with an all-day schedule that will feature many of the top teams and players from the area.

Nine of the 16 teams scheduled to compete in the inaugural Hoops Classic were voted in the top 10 for the 2003-04 season in an advanced preseason poll conducted by Northern Kentucky coaches, teams that include Newport Central Catholic, Boone County, Dixie, Highlands, Holy Cross, Conner, Holmes, Scott and Lloyd. Some of the top returning players scheduled to compete as voted on by the coaches include Michael Zimmerman (NCC), Travis Rasso (Boone County), Michael Searp (Newport), Charles Kinney (Lloyd) and Matt O’Toole (Dixie).
